NetEase is propelling growth by tapping into local demand for popular international brands. This is definitely turning out to be a great story to play on burgeoning Chinese middle class consumer spending in areas like online shopping, gaming subscriptions. Cross border commerce is poised to grow 40% in 2018 and accounts for 15% wallet share of total $900 Bn Ecommerce business in China. NetEase Ecommerce business itself is poised to grow 5 fold to $9 bn by 2022. Its Online gaming business is on a strong foothold growing by 30% year on year. It has strong pipeline of online games for the addictive user base of 250 Million register users. Ecommerce and Online aming will be core and key drivers of growth for this Chinese giant considering the mobile adoption of Chinese population in both of these areas of business.
